Thank you so much for your help on August 11 when my van broke down in Fancy Gap, Virginia. What a blessing the ministry of Good Shepherd Baptist Mission is and I praise the Lord for it.

I was on my way to teach the adult class at Southside Baptist Church's vacation Bible school in Salem, Virginia. On my way up the mountain on I-77 from Mount Airy, North Carolina, I noticed smoke coming from the back of my van. I was able to make it to an exit and call you. Within a couple of hours help had arrived through Missionary Ray Hodges. Bro. Hodges had already acquired a trainer to haul my van and had already checked a couple of repair shops in the Mount Airy area before he came to "rescue" me. He and his dear wife were also gracious enough to give me a room in their home and to feed me during my "crisis". After getting my van repaired late on Tuesday afternoon. I was on my way to my destination.

Through all of this and because of you and your burden to keep the Gospel of Jesus Christ from being hindered, I was able to meet some new friends, get overnight lodging, and get my van repaired by a reputable meacnic. Thank you!

His for Souls,
Bro. Alan Sinclair

Below are a few of the comments about this year's Pastor's Training School:

  • "I commend the leadership of PTS for an extremely organized and well-thought out training plan. I recommend PTS to any pastor that is currently in the ministry; however, I believe we as pastors need to send anyone who may feel God's calling in pastoring. This training is so important for a new pastor to enable him to start the ministry in the right direction. I'm so thankful that God led me to PTS. God called me to the pastoral ministry only three months prior to PTS. Only God knows what an effect PTS will have on me as a pastor and on the congregation God has called me to lead. Thank you for following God's call to train the pastors." Bro. Joe Williams, Victory Baptist Church, Lodi, OH

  • "MTS and PTS are so worthwhile we plan to give credits in Columbia Road Baptist Bibile Intitute to students who attend these schools." Bro. Marvin Basinger, Director Bible Institute, Columbia Road Baptist Church, N. Olmsted, OH

  • "God has raised up a tool that will make eternal differences in the life of every pastor, and every church he pastors. PTS has been a life line for drowning pastors. PTS is a power boost for churches that are drying up. PTS is a Holy Spirit filled program that will enable the Lord to train, motivated, and enable pastors to effectively accomplish the purpose God has called them to in the churches God has placed them." Bro. Allen Minton, Dillon Road Baptist Church, Fostoria, OH

  • "It is a unique situation to find men working together in this capacity and have so many differences. One can learn an important lesson by the example of such teamwork. Never have I seen a group of people work so hard and be so efficient in the name of services. I would recommend this school to anyone interested in learning the concept of teamwork and leadership. I pray the Lord will continue to bless this school as He has this week." Bro. Thomas Laird, Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, Richton, MS

  • "I truly was blessed by PTS. The Holy Spirit of God got a hold of my heart in many areas. The filling of the Holy Spirit is something that every pastor needs to get a grip on in his ministry in order to be the pastor God can use. I learned more about leadership and how much of it has been lacking in my life and in my ministry. I believe that with the tools I have now from this school I can be a better leader, not just in the church as a pastor, but also in my home. We all need to be a little more organized, but I learned so much more that will make my ministry and my life so much better. I was once again shown how important world wide missions are, not just to me but to God. I learned that more prayer is needed for our missionaries. All of what the school is about, FLOW, is what every pastor in the U.S.A. and around the world needs." Bro. Tony Ross, Adrian Baptist Church, Canisteo, NY
